With the aim of promoting better understanding of Korean culture overseas and helping Korean diplomatic missions enhance cultural diplomacy, the Foundation launched a support program in 2010 for Korean film screenings organized by Korean diplomatic missions or international film festivals.

In 2011, the Foundation supported 25 Korean embassies and consulates in organizing 26 film screening events and presenting box-office hits such as “A Barefoot Dream," "Le Grand Chef," "Forever the Moment," "Scandal Makers," "My Girlfriend is an Agent" and "Old Partner."

The recipient Korean embassies and consulates of the program are selected through consultation between the Foundation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Foundation provides the recipients with movie films or DVDs and costs relevant to the events.
