  • Artist File 2015 ‘Next Doors: Contemporary Art in Japan and Korea’
  • As an artistic exchange initiative, the Artist File 2015 is a touring exhibition that celebrates the contemporary artworks of 12 distinguished artists from Korea and Japan. The National Art Center in Tokyo, Japan’s premier contemporary arts museum, is currently hosting the exhibition, which will then be shown in Korea from November.

  • 2015 Korea-Japan Festival in Tokyo
  • Sponsored by the KF, the 2015 Korea-Japan Festival will be staged in Tokyo, Japan. Launched in 2005, in Seoul, to celebrate 40 years of normalized Korea-Japan relations, local versions of the festival have been presented in both countries at the same time since 2009 as an effort to promote cultural exchange between Korea and Japan and to enhance friendly relations

  • Youth Choir Concert: Together
  • To advance peace and reconciliation, the KF and the Japan Foundation will present Korea - Japan youth choir performances in Tokyo and Kamakura. The joint choir group will present another performance in Korea in December.

  • Goryeo Celadon and Underwater Archaeology Exhibition
  • In cooperation with Japan’s Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka, and Korea’s National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage, the KF presents Newly Discovered Goryeo Celadon and the Achievements of Underwater Archaeology in Korea, an exhibition that introduces Japanese audiences to the world of Korea’s ceramics. For the exhibition’s opening event, the Busan National Gugak Center will perform music and dances of the Goryeo era at Osaka Central Public Hall on September 4.

  • Korea-Japan Youth Exchange Program
  • The KF will host the visit of 30 Japanese university students to Korea on September 15-24. The Japanese delegation will be touring attractions in Seoul, Jeju Island, and Busan under a theme of “Cultural Content,” to experience various aspects of Korea’s traditional and contemporary culture.The group will also attend the 11th Korea-Japan Festival, which will provide an opportunity to interact with Korean students and commemorate the past 50 years of normalized Korea-Japanrelations. The KF hopes that this visit will help the youth of both countries to pursue future-oriented relations through the development of mutual understanding and personal friendships
