Have you ever posted photos on social media during or after a trip because you wanted to preserve the memories while they were still fresh? If so, you will enjoy “The Memory Shop,” an interactive project for visitors offered in conjunction with the special exhibition “ASEAN Street Food: Hororok Chopchop Omulomul,” which is currently being held on the first floor of the ACH.

All you have to do is to arrange objects that embody memories of traveling through the ASEAN region – e.g. a particular food, an object connected to someone you encountered, a souvenir, etc. – on one of the shelves prepared inside the exhibition venue, take a picture with it, and post it to Instagram! You can collect your displayed items in person after the exhibition. All participants will receive a small gift.

There is a Korean saying that goes, “If you have no teeth, use your gums.” While you may not be able to travel to ASEAN for now because of COVID-19, you can certainly use The Memory Shop to share memories of the ASEAN dishes and places experienced on previous trips with a wider audience!
