The 2015 KF Cheonggyecheon Music Festival was held with flying colors on October 9−11. Organized in association with this year’s Korea Festival in MIKTA (Mexico, Indonesia, Korea, Turkey, and Australia), an integrative event meant to promote Korean culture abroad, this year’s concert featured a diverse range of MIKTA artists, including Mexico’s Paulina y el Buscapie, Turkey’s Bilal Karaman Band, Indonesia’s YK Samarinda, and Korea’s Country Gongbang. For the first day’s closing performance, Bulgarian artist Miryan Kostadinov astounded audiences with renditions of “Arirang” and other popular Korean songs. On the event's second and third days, international artists collaborated with performers of Korean traditional music, evoking thunderous applause. Despite the cold weather, audiences crowded around the Cheonggyecheon Stream for an eclectic three days of culture and music amid the romantic atmosphere of fall.
