1. 1 The "KF Website" refers to internet services offered through the KF's main domain(www.kf.or.kr)to introduce and facilitate various public diplomacy programs implemented by the KF. It includes the websites of the ASEAN Culture House(www.ach.or.kr)and the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat(www.centralasia-korea.org)
   • Main KF domain (www.kf.or.kr)
   • ASEAN Culture House (www.ach.or.kr)
   • korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum (www.centralasia-korea.org)
   • KF Online Application Portal (www.kf.or.kr/apply)
2. 2 "Users" are defined as individuals who use the KF Website in compliance with this Terms of Use agreement.
3. 3 "Members" are defined as individuals and organizations that use the KF Website after submitting information as requested by the KF.
4. 4 "Email Address" is defined as an email address registered by Members on the KF Website, and used as information to identify Users as Members.
5. 5 A Member’s "Password" is defined as a minimum of eight characters that combine letters, numbers, and special characters to identify Users trying to access member-only services as the same individuals who previously registered their email address as Members, and is used to protect Members' personal information.

1. 1 This Terms of Use agreement enters into force upon its announcement on the KF Website.
2. 2 The KF Website provides services to Users on condition that they agree to and abide by the Terms of Use. Users of the KF Website are considered to have agreed to the Terms of Use.
3. 3 The KF may modify the Terms of Use and any modified Terms of Use agreement will enter into force in the same way as detailed in Section ① of Article 2.
4. 4 Users can stop using services if they do not agree to the modified Terms of Use. Users who continue to use the services are considered to have agreed to the modified Terms of Use.

1. 1 The KF must not reveal or distribute Users' personal information to others without Users' consent.
2. 2 The KF must not commit any act against public morals or prohibited by relevant laws or this Terms of Use agreement.
3. 3 The KF must do its best to protect Users' personal information through secure means, including technological safety measures.
4. 4 The KF must not send any profit-making advertisement emails to Users without their consent.

1. 1 Users must abide by the Terms of Use and relevant laws.
2. 2 Users must not commit any of the following acts:
   • 1. Provision of false information in the process of membership application or information modification
   • 2. Illegal use of other people's email addresses and passwords
   • 3. Change or deletion of any part or the whole of the information posted on the KF Website
   • 4. Acts of damage or intentional obstruction to the services offered, including the hacking of the KF's web server
   • 5. Infringement of the KF's or a third party's intellectual property rights includingcopyrights
   • 6. Defamation or obstruction of business of the KF or a third party
   • 7. Use of the services with a profit-making purpose
   • 8. Revealing or posting obscene or violent writing, videos, voice files, or any other content against public morals on the KF Website
   • 9. Planning of use or actual use of the services with the purpose of damaging the national interest or social good
   • 10. Involvement in criminal acts
   • 11. Violation of the Terms of Use or other relevant laws

1. 1 Users who wish to gain membership are required to agree to the Terms of Use and submit a KF membership application form with their personal information.
   • 1. "Individual Members" can apply for the KF's programs for individuals, receive news on recent KF activities via email, and use other internet services offered by the KF. Individual members can use these services by logging on once they have registered for membership.
   • 2. Users who wish to apply for the KF's programs for organizations as representatives of their respective universities, research institutes, arts and cultural organizations, or other institutions are required to become "Organizational Members." When the KF receives an organizational membership application, it issues an organizational member ID after a confirmation procedure. Organizational member IDs are issued within a maximum of 24 hours after the submission of an application (based on business days, holidays excluded), and are provided to applicants via email.
2. 2 Membership is not allowed in the following cases:
   • 1. Should applicants use other people's personal information for a membership application
   • 2. Should applicants provide false information on a membership application

1. 1 Members can request the cancellation of their membership at any time. Members who wish to cancel their membership are required to log on to the KF Website and go to "My Page" to make an online request for membership cancellation.
2. 2 The KF may restrict, suspend, or cancel membership without prior notice when Members are involved in any of the following:
   • 1. Provision of false information in the process of membership application or information modification
   • 2. Dual registration by the same user, using different email addresses
   • 3. Illegal use of other people's email addresses and passwords
   • 4. Change or deletion of any part or the whole of the information posted on the KF Website
   • 5. Acts of damage or intentional obstruction to the services offered, including the hacking of the KF's web server
   • 6. Infringement of the KF's or a third party's intellectual property rights includingcopyrights
   • 7. Defamation or obstruction of business of the KF or a third party
   • 8. No record of logging on to the KF Website to use the services for a period of two years
   • 9. Use of the services with a profit-making purpose
   • 10. Revealing or posting obscene or violent writing, videos, voice files, or any other content against public morals on the KF Website
   • 11. Planning of use or actual use of the services with the purpose of damaging the national interest or social good
   • 12. Involvement in criminal acts
   • 13. Violation of the Terms of Use or other relevant laws
3. 3 Membership information at the KF Website is deleted upon membership cancellation. Applications and personal information submitted via the KF Online Application Portal, however, are not deleted.

1. 1 Members are solely responsible for keeping their email addresses and passwords secure and confidential.
2. 2 Members must not let a third party use their email address or password.
3. 3 Members must notify the KF when their email address or password has beenwrongfully used and must follow the KF's guidance if any is provided.

1. 1 The KF collects a minimum amount of personal information necessary for the provision of services.
2. 2 The KF asks for Users' consent when collecting personally identifiable information.
3. 3 Personal information provided by Users is thoroughly protected in accordance with the Terms of Use and utilized as follows:
   • 1. Statistical analysis for the improvement and supplementation of services
   • 2. Facilitation of communication between Users and the KF
4. 4 Personal information provided by Users must not be used for anything other than the original purpose or provided to a third party without Users' consent, excluding in the following cases for which the KF is responsible:
   • 1. Provision of unidentified individual data needed for statistics, academic research, or market survey
   • 2. Criminal investigation or other indispensable cases pursuant to laws

1. 1 Users can post or distribute their own content that does not violate copyrights or intellectual property rights, or other content of which the creator has permitted distribution via websites.
2. 2 Users must give the KF permanent permission for non-exclusive and free use of the content they post on the KF Website. The KF may use, reproduce, publish, translate, allow the use of, or internationally distribute the content wholly, partially, or in combination with other content, via any form, medium, or technology to be developed during the copyright term. Users must permit other Users to have access to, store, and reproduce such content for personal use. On condition of such permission, the copyright holders of such content keep all entitled rights.
3. 3 Users are solely responsible for any copyright or intellectual property right violation of or damage to the content they post. The KF is not responsible for compensation in such cases.
4. 4 Without prior notification, the KF can delete the content posted by Users if such content is considered relevant to any of the following:
   • 1. Containing advertising, defamation, libel, or any other matter inappropriate for posting
   • 2. Violating a third party's rights including copyrights
   • 3. Violating relevant laws or KF regulations

1. 1 Copyrights and other intellectual property rights of all the content provided by the KF Website are attributed to the KF. Intellectual property rights of the content posted by Members, however, are attributed to Members.
2. 2 Users are not allowed to reproduce, transmit, publish, re-distribute, broadcast, or use information acquired from the KF services for profit-making purposes, except for private use or educational purposes.

1. 1 The KF is exempt from any responsibility for the provision of services when there are unavoidable reasons for the discontinuance of these services, such as repair, replacement, or regular maintenance of service equipment; construction; periods when telecommunication operators do not provide telecommunication services normally; or when there is an other force outside the control of the KF.
2. 2 The KF is not responsible for any damage caused by the use of the KF Website.The KF may frequently modify or improve the content and function of the KF Website.
3. 3 The KF is not responsible for any inconvenience or damage to the use of the KF Website due to causes attributable to Users.
4. 4 The KF is neither obliged to interfere in any conflict between Users, or between Users and a third party through the medium of the KF Website, nor responsible for compensation for damage incurred by such conflict.

1. 1 The KF is not responsible for any content on or personal information protection by other websites connected via links on the KF Website.

1. 1 Other terms not stipulated in this Terms of Use agreement are in accordance with relevant laws of the Republic of Korea.
2. 2 When a lawsuit is filed regarding conflict caused by the use of services, the competent court shall be a court in a city where the KF is located.

Article 1. Date of Enforcement

The Terms of Use enters into force on May 19, 2021.
