With sponsorship support from the KF, a Korea-Australia collaborative performance of SHIMCHONG: Daughter Overboard! is being presented in Brisbane, Australia. Motherboard Productions in Australia has given the traditional Korean fairy tale a modern spin in creating an original production that will be staged at the 2016 World Theatre Festival and the Australian Performing Arts Market. By conducting Korea Festival programs in the middle powers of Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey, and Australia in 2015, the KF seeks to broaden public awareness of the MIKTA group within its member countries through the promotion of cultural and artistic events, so as to reinforce cooperative relations with the world’s leading middle powers.
