The 3rd ASEAN Film Week

The 3rd ASEAN Film Week is coming soon! The first film week, held in 2019 alongside the ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit, received widespread attention and garnered positive praise from audiences.

The second film week was held in 2021, and now audiences are once again poised to fall in love with charming films from ASEAN at this year’s festival.

The 3rd ASEAN Film Week will showcase various genres, ranging from drama, romantic comedy, and action, to animation, and horror. From March 23 to April 8, the event will tour Seoul, Busan, and Jeonju and introduce twelve ASEAN films and one TV series that have been recognized for their outstanding quality. The film week will be opened by Miracle in Cell No.7 from Indonesia.Included in the lineup are award winning films, such as Gensan Punch from the Philippines, which won the Jiseok Award at the 26th Busan International Film Festival, and Barbarian Invasion from Malaysia, which won the Jury Grand Prix at the 24th Shanghai International Film Festival.
The film week will be held online and offline concurrently, allowing viewers to watch the films at their own convenience. After the film screenings, directors and actors will also have a conversation with the audience and discuss the film.
We anticipate that the 3rd ASEAN Film Week will bring the general audience a step closer to ASEAN culture and cinema.
