KF–ACM Joint Project: Runway Singapore #SGFASHIONNOW 2023

Runway Singapore #SGFASHIONNOW, an exhibition of Singaporean fashion, is underway at the KF Gallery in Seoul as a joint project of the KF, the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) in Singapore, and the Singaporean Embassy in Korea. The third edition of the ACM’s #SGFASHIONNOW series seeks the answer to the question, “What is fashion in Singapore?” The series aims to explore the identity of Singaporean fashion in cooperation with 27 Singapore-based designers and students of the LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore.

The ACM is a national museum affiliated with the National Heritage Board of Singapore. Housing a diverse collection of artifacts and decorative artworks, it showcases historical and cultural exchange between civilizations from different parts of Asia, as well as exchanges and relationships between Asia and the rest of the world. This month, ACM curator Dominic Low will visit the exhibition to discuss Singaporean fashion.

Through its presentation of Singapore’s contemporary fashion and the uniting of East and West, modernity and tradition, and artisanship and technology, the exhibition invites all visitors to personally savor the country’s time-honored heritage and contemporary charms. Admission to the exhibition, which continues through January 31, is free. For more information, please visit the KF website (www.kf.or.kr).
