ACH in Busan offers ‘Easy Access ASEAN’ Cooking Classes
From mid-July to September, the ASEAN Culture House (ACH) in Busan offers cooking classes introducing the 10 ASEAN member states’ respective cuisines as part of its “Easy Access ASEAN” series. The classes will be held over ten weeks, each week from Friday to Sunday, and allow participants to experience and learn how to prepare an array of dishes from the ASEAN region. In August, classes will focus on dishes from Malaysia, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
The “Easy Access ASEAN” series aims to enhance the Korean public’s understanding of the 10 ASEAN member states’ culture, history, and society, by offering events that include lectures, film screenings, cooking classes, games, and other hands-on experiences. The cooking classes, while currently limited to 12 participants each due to social distancing measures, will be shown on the ACH’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/ASEANCultureHouse/). Everyone interested in the ASEAN way of life is welcome to watch the classes online and try their hand at replicating the dishes. Detailed information is available on the ACH website: www.ach.or.kr.
