‘Georgia: Cradle of Viticulture’ Exhibition

From March 3 to April 1, an exhibition exploring Georgia’s longstanding viticulture will be held at the KF Gallery in Seoul, co-sponsored by the KF and the Georgian Embassy in Korea. Aptly titled Georgia: Cradle of Viticulture, the exhibition will present photographs that highlight the origins and traditions of Georgian wine growing. Part of a larger-scale exhibition organized by the Georgian National Museum, you will also be able to enjoy this KF Gallery exhibition as a virtual tour via the KF website: www.kf.or.kr.

Georgia is known as the birthplace of wine, the most popular alcoholic beverage in the world. Often called the cradle of wine, the country has produced the drink for over thousands of years through its unique method of fermenting grapes in qvevri, or terracotta clay pots. Viewers of the exhibition will have a chance to enhance their understanding of this globally celebrated drink by following its tradition and history. For more detailed information, please consult the KF website.

The offline exhibition at the KF Gallery will be held in accordance with the government’s social distancing guidelines.
