Calling for 4th Group of the Eurasia Youth Academy

From February 21 to March 25, young people are invited to apply to become part of the fourth group of the Eurasia Youth Academy. Hosted by the KF’s Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat, the program is organized and managed by the Hyundai Research Institute.

Launched in 2019, the academy provides systematic and comprehensive education based on language learning and the promotion of regional understanding; overseas training programs; and internships at domestic and international institutions. The program is designed to strengthen the theoretical and practical capabilities of young people who not only understand Eurasia, including Central Asia, but are also interested in paving pathways into the market.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Central Asian countries, the fourth Eurasia Youth Academy will select and carry out projects under the theme of “Sustainable Green Future.” Proceedings will be based on the three factors for future cooperation, agreed upon at the 14th Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum in November 2021: coexistence with nature, creation of new growth engines through future technologies, and people-centered growth.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the academy’s training programs and internships abroad have been replaced by domestic activities. However, participants have expressed great satisfaction with their experiences in the Eurasia Business Challenge with Central Asian youth living in Korea and internships at local corporations.

The academy supported the employment of nine interns in 2019, sixteen in 2020, and twenty in 2021. Applicants must download application forms on the KF and Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat websites, fill them out, and submit them to the academy secretariat. All academy programming is free of charge. Young people are greatly encouraged to apply to the Eurasia Youth Academy, a program that aims to help them realize their dreams for the future.
