Starting April 27, the KF Gallery will present Encounter the World through Children’s Books: Book Reading for Children by Ambassadors, a commemorative exhibition to celebrate the Korea Foundation’s 25th anniversary. The event features over 400 storybooks of children’s books from 45 countries, including those selected by 44 foreign missions in Seoul. The exhibition is highlighted by a “Book Reading for Children by Ambassadors” program, in which the Ambassadors of 28 countries and their spouses will read stories to children in the language of their home country. The book readings, which will be accompanied by Korean translations with added dramatization, will be a chance for children to hear various languages, learn about the cultures of different countries, and cultivate their literary sensibility. Attendants must pre-register for this program at the KF website, through the KF Global Center homepage: Encounter the World through Children’s Books exhibition. In addition to the Book Reading for Children program, the exhibition includes several related activities, as well as surprise events, so be sure to visit the KF webpage (www.kf.or.kr).
