Yangpyeong Borigogae Village

On the last Saturday of March, a warm spring day, the Korean Culture Class Team made its way to Yangpyeong Borigogae Village. Close to nature and rustic life, 29 international participants traveled to Yangpyeong, where they engaged in various cultural activities, such as picking fresh strawberries, making tofu and gangjeong (fried rice crackers), playing Korean shuttlecock, and partaking in jwibulnori, an agricultural festivity highlighted by fire. The strawberries they picked and liberally sampled were organically grown with eco-friendly methods, so they enjoyed them straight away without any need for washing. They made tofu using a traditional millstone, a process that surprised many with the time and dedication it required. In the evening, while basking in silvery moonlight, the participants quietly reflected on their meaningful March event.
