At 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on May 28 and 29, Where Shall I Go? will be staged as the second part of the ASEAN Performance Series for Children at the ASEAN Culture House.

Where Shall I Go? is a puppet show based on the Malaysian children’s story “Elephant Hill,” which is about a boy who lives with his father in a village set for demolition due to redevelopment. While reading a fairytale at night with everyone asleep, the boy enters a world of imagination in which he becomes a baby elephant and plays with a monkey, deer, and hornbill. But the animals disappear one by one as the jungle is exploited, so the elephant is perplexed over where to go.

The organizers of the show said they hope that after seeing the performance, children in the audience will think about the peaceful coexistence between humans and nature. Tickets can be reserved from May 2 on the ACH website (www.ach.or.kr).

The work was produced by the Asia Culture Center Foundation and conceived by the creative theatrical group Ya, which has produced experimental works since its founding in 2008.
