Korea International Summer Festival: ASEAN Special in Busan, a four~day event that will run August 9-10 and 12-13 (Wed-Thurs, Sat-Sun) in the KF-ACH auditorium. In celebration of the 65th anniversary of KoreanThai diplomatic relations and the 50th anniversary of Korean~Indonesian diplomatic relations, the KF-ACH is collaborating with ASSITEJ Korea, a child and young adult art performance organization, to invite Thai and Indonesian theater troupes to Korea to perform pantomime for children. The event aims to provide an opportunity for the Korean audience to easily access and enjoy ASEAN culture.

Ta Lent Show Theatre from Thailand will perform the pantomime show “Lady & Gentle Mime” on August 9, and the object theater performance “Ta Lent Show” on August 10. The troupe presents integrated shows of mime, puppetry, and object theater by Thai solo artist Ta Nuttapol Kummata. It is the most famous pantomime group in Thailand andhas performed in Indonesia, Malaysia, Scotland, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, and many other countries.

On August. 12 and 13, Papermoon Puppet Theatre from Indonesia will present “KACA CAKA: The Mirror.” The troupe has produced more than 30 puppet performances, visual art installations, and exhibitions and has toured in over 10 countries since its establishment in Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 2006.
