2019 Korea-Russia Forum to Be Held in Seoul

On December 5, the KF will hold the 2019 Korea-Russia Forum at the Westin Chosun Seoul Hotel. Launched in 1999, the forum has facilitated discussions over the past 10 years that have produced positive visions for the future- oriented development of bilateral relations.

As next year marks the 30th anniversary of the Korea- Russia diplomatic relationship, the upcoming forum will cover more topics than in previous years. In addition to the usual political and economic issues, subjects of discussion will include changes to Korea-Russia cultural exchange, future directions for development, and ways of promoting contact in cyberspace. Participants will also review online exchange between young generations in both countries in relation to the fad of Korean popular culture in Russia, including movies, television, and K-pop.

The forum will be attended by a large group of prominent guests from both countries’ political, academic, and cultural circles, exchanging constructive suggestions to invigorate bilateral cooperation in diverse fields.
