‘Holes in the Wind’ Exhibition

From April to June, the KF and the Colombian Embassy in Korea will jointly hold an exhibition titled Holes in the Wind at the KF Gallery in Seoul. Featuring abstract paintings by renowned Colombian painter Carlos Jacanamijoy, the exhibition will explore the nature of the artist’s South American country and the energy of the Inga civilization through diverse works characterized by vivid colors and strong touches.

The natural environment of Colombia is both Jacanamijoy’s spiritual inspiration and a common motif in his paintings, which express his dreams of the universe, and his sense of and relationship with the varied elements of reality, including human history. Taking in the nature scenes Jacanamijoy has rendered on canvas in bold colors, viewers will be able to feel like they are immersed in the Colombian forest. Opening on April 13, this exhibition of more than 14 large and medium-sized paintings can be viewed in person at the KF Gallery or online via the KF website (www.kf.or.kr), where more information about the exhibition can be found as well.
