2021 Next-Generation Policy Experts Network Active
in Six Countries and Regions

From April through November of this year, the KF, along with think tanks and research institutes in six countries and regions, is co-hosting the 2021 Next-Generation Policy Experts’ Network, targeting policy experts interested in Korea-related issues.

The Next-Generation Policy Experts’ Network was first launched in 2015 to foster young policy experts on Korean affairs and promote research on Korea-related issues. The program was initially introduced in three countries, but has now expanded to six countries and regions around the world: in ASEAN via the Institute of Security and International Studies in Thailand, in Europe via Chatham House, in China via the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS) and Beijing University, in Japan via the Center for Contemporary Korean Studies at Keio University, in Oceania via the Australia Institute of International Affairs (AIIA), and in Russia via the Russian International Council.

This year’s activities include working group meetings in which Korean experts deliver lectures on the latest international issues involving Korea and East Asia; mentor-mentee programs that provide opportunities to explore careers in academia, diplomacy, mass media, and government; and online tours to Korean institutes that allow participants to get a glimpse into the initiatives of leading Korean government and research institutes.

If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact the KF’s Global Networking Department via the contact information below.
