Publication of ‘Korea Contemporary Short Stories’ in Spanish
- Cuentos coreanos contemporáneos Volumen I, II

In late August, the KF and Spanish publishing house Verbum will jointly release a two-volume anthology of selected contemporary Korean stories translated into Spanish.

Titled Cuentos coreanos contemporáneos, the anthology presents 20 stories that were previously published in the Spanish version of Koreana, the KF’s comprehensive arts and culture quarterly. The stories include Park Wansuh’s “His House” and Park Chan-soon’s “Festival of Ashes.” The two volumes are expected transport impressions of Korea and its literary atmosphere to readers in Spanish-speaking countries.

Since 2017, the KF has been publishing selected Korean short stories in various languages, including Russian, Vietnamese, and Indonesian, to introduce Korean literature to a broader readership overseas.
