‘Horse Head’ Exhibition
In celebration of the 120th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship
between Belgium and Korea, the KF presents the Horse Head exhibition
at the KF Gallery and as a virtual tour. The exhibition is
award-winning Belgian ary photographer Frederik Buyckx’s first
solo show in Korea.
By capturing the isolated lives of nomadic Kyrgyz shepherds in
black-and-white photography, Buyckx carefully explores the
relationship between humanity and nature. The shepherds’ environment
and culture differ vastly from those of Seoul and Brussels, and the
exhibition presents a rare opportunity to the Korean public to learn
about the extraordinary ways of life of people in a faraway country.
Interesting aspects of Kyrgyz culture will be introduced through a
visual perceptual experience.
Supported by the Kyrgyz Embassy in Korea, the exhibition runs from
December 28, 2021, to February 9, 2022, both at the KF Gallery and as
a virtual tour. More information is available on the KF website (www.kf.or.kr).
The offline exhibition at the KF Gallery will be held in accordance
with the government’s social distancing guidelines to curb the spread
of COVID-19.
