‘Horse Head’ Exhibition

In celebration of the 120th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Belgium and Korea, the KF presents the Horse Head exhibition at the KF Gallery and as a virtual tour. The exhibition is award-winning Belgian ary photographer Frederik Buyckx’s first solo show in Korea.

By capturing the isolated lives of nomadic Kyrgyz shepherds in black-and-white photography, Buyckx carefully explores the relationship between humanity and nature. The shepherds’ environment and culture differ vastly from those of Seoul and Brussels, and the exhibition presents a rare opportunity to the Korean public to learn about the extraordinary ways of life of people in a faraway country. Interesting aspects of Kyrgyz culture will be introduced through a visual perceptual experience.

Supported by the Kyrgyz Embassy in Korea, the exhibition runs from December 28, 2021, to February 9, 2022, both at the KF Gallery and as a virtual tour. More information is available on the KF website (www.kf.or.kr).
