Korea Tops “Live Video Experience” in Asia-Pacific

Korea was found to have the top Live Video Experience in the Asia-Pacific region and was ranked 11th among more than 100 markets around the world, according to a report by Opensignal. A global market analyzer in the United Kingdom, their Live Video Experience report examines user experience when live-streaming news, mobile sports, and games.

More specifically, using a Mean Opinion Score (MOS) on a 100-point scale, the report measures latency, average bitrate at each resolution, down switching, and negative quality changes as experienced by mobile users. User satisfaction increased when there were fewer delays in the early stage of streaming and when they were able to have the improved experience of watching high-definition video.

Norway was the world’s number one in Live Video Experience, followed by other European countries such as the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark. In the Asia-Pacific region, user satisfaction was high, with Taiwan in second place, followed by Singapore and Japan.
