Colombian Photo Exhibition:Colombian Caribbean by Leo Matiz and Colombia in the Korean War The KF Gallery will host a photo exhibition on Colombia on July 15–August 3. As the first of several events throughout July to celebrate Colombia’s independence, the exhibition is an opportunity to strengthen Korea–Colombia relations through cultural exchange and understanding. In addition to photos of the Aracataca village by Leo Matiz, who is famed for his photographs of Mexican artists including Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, visitors can glimpse the little-known aspects of Colombia. There are also images of the Colombian troops who bravely came to the aid of the South during the Korean War. Furthermore, visitors can also attend a talk session with Alejandra Matiz, Leo Matiz’s daughter and the curator of this exhibition, who is visiting Korea for this occasion. For additional information, please visit the KF website (http://www.kf.or.kr) or the KF Gallery Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/koreafoundationgallery).
