As part of the KF’s efforts to develop cooperative relations with distinguished figures abroad, an invitation to visit Korea has been extended to Noomane Fehri, the Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies and Digital Economy. As the leader of the ministry that oversees information and communications technology in Tunisia, Minister Fehri will have the chance to personally observe Korea’s advanced IT sector and communications technology during his visit. Minister Fehri has modeled his plans for Tunisia’s IT development after Korea’s success, and has pledged to develop Tunisia into the “Seoul of Africa,” at his visit to the Korean embassy in Tunisia. He will also discuss measures to enhance cooperative efforts with Korea so as to kick-start “Smart Tunisia 2018,” the country’s ambitious initiative to upgrade its IT infrastructure.
