[Review] The KF-Atlantic Council Forum

The KF and the United States think tank the Atlantic Council held a two-day forum on “Reimaging the U.S.-ROK Partnership in the Trans-Pacific Century” in Washington, D.C., on December 12–13.
The meeting began with keynote speeches by Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and dealt with ways of promoting bilateral relations in the fields of diplomacy and security, and economy and trade.
“We’re ready to talk any time North Korea would like to talk,” Tillerson said, stepping into the spotlight. “We’re ready to have the first meeting without precondition.” He also said that the United States would exert the utmost diplomatic efforts to solve any issues related to bilateral relations and the crisis with North Korea.
