Swedish Policy Institute to Inaugurate ISDP Korea Center

The Swedish Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP) will open its Korea Center on May 15 with the support of the Korea Foundation. When inaugurated, the Korea Center will be the first institution of its kind in Europe. ISDP, a think-thank based in Stockholm, is one of the most prominent policy research institutes in Sweden. A non-profit, independent organization, ISDP conducts extensive research on international relations, including North Korea and issues pertaining to the Korean Peninsula, and has held various “track 1.5” conferences involving government officials and non-governmental experts.
The ISDP Korea Center is expected to contribute to strengthening the relationship between Korea and Northern Europe through research, meetings, and expansion of personnel exchanges, while to promoting peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and enhancing accurate understanding of Korea in Northern Europe.
