2019 M1 CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival in Singapore

The 2019 M1 CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival is currently underway in Singapore with support from the KF through the latter’s program on sponsoring events by overseas organizations that promote Korean culture and the arts. The festival is a leading modern dance festival in Asia that is organized by Singapore’s T.H.E Dance Company.
   Celebrating its tenth run as of 2019, this year’s festival will feature choreographers and dancers from 16 countries, including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Israel, and India. Korean participants will be staging diverse creative works at the Esplanade Theatre Studio and T.H.E Dance Company’s studio in Singapore. The ongoing festival has stepped up its game as a world-class event, and it is anticipated that the status of contemporary Korean dance will be enhanced through the diversity of available programs, such as a dance technique class, workshop, and a dialogue with artists.
