2022 KF Global Korean Studies Forum in Seoul
On August 4, the Korea Foundation will hold the 2022 KF Global Korean StudiesForum, as part of celebrations of the Foundation’s 30th anniversary, which wasmarked last year.
Under the theme “Paradigm Changes and Future Development of Korean Studies,”the Forum will provide a platform for in-depth discussions among Korean studiesscholars from major institutions of higher education around the world.
More than 100 Korean studies scholars and specialists will participate in theForum, which will be held in an online-online hybrid format. Among them will bethe event’s keynote speaker, Prof. Emeritus John B. Duncan of UCLA; Prof.Emeritus Clark Sorensen of the University of Washington; Prof. Eun-Jeung Lee ofthe Free University of Berlin; Prof. Junya Nishino of Keio University; and Prof.Sergei O. Kurbanov of St. Petersburg State University.
The Forum is comprised of 4 sessions in which diverse aspects of Korean studieswill be discussed, ranging from humanities and social sciences related topics toresearch into the global Hallyu phenomenon as well as Korean language and onlineeducation.
