‘Koreana’ Fall Issue Focuses on Art Museums

Amid an unprecedented expansion of the domestic art market, Korean museums are also experiencing a drastic transformation. The fall issue of Koreana, the KF’s comprehensive arts and culture quarterly, looks at Korean museums entering new phases due to changes that include new exhibition formats utilizing technology and shifts in artistic tastes among Korea’s so-called Generation MZ, encompassing millennials and Generation Z.

The issue also features articles about renowned photographer Lee Jae-hyuk, specializes in film stills and worked with acclaimed Korean and Hollywood directors; the National Gugak Center’s “Gugak in (人)” project, which produces music videos of traditional performing arts; films and TV series centered on Korean emigrants that are increasingly popular abroad; and voice acting or script reading performances that offer fun and touch the audience by offering an experience different from that of a theatrical performance.

The fall issue of Koreana is available both in print and online in 11 languages ( www.koreana.or.kr).
