KF Invitational Program for Australian Journalism Students
From September 24, the KF will conduct a weeklong invitational program for 10 Australian college students majoring in journalism at the University of Sydney. They will be accompanied by three supporters including William Won-hong Seung, chairperson of the Korean-Australian Community Support.
The visiting group will get to know the field of Korean journalism by visiting major media companies like the Chosun Ilbo and KBS (Korean Broadcasting System), and attend a seminar, hosted by the global law firm Yulchon, on comparing laws and taxation systems in Korea and Australia.
Also on the schedule are a courtesy call by the group on H.E. Ms. Catherine Raper, the Australian Ambassador to Korea, and visits to the National Assembly, the Korea Press Foundation, and the Jongno District Office to enhance the visitors’ understanding of Korea. Last but not least, they will meet experts and attend a lecture at Yonsei University’s Centre for Australian Studies.
This program is expected to help Australians gain more knowledge about Korea and foster mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of Korea and Australia.
