Seoul Ranked World’s 10th Best City for Startups

Seoul has debuted on the “Global Top 10 Ecosystems” list for startups of the Global Startup Ecosystem Report (GSER) 2022 released by Startup Genome, a US-based global organization that rates startup ecosystems. Seoul moved up six places from 16th last year to enter the top 10 for the first time. Accordingly, the value of the city’s ecosystem jumped more than four-fold during the past two years to USD 177 billion (KRW 223 trillion).

Based on a survey of 280 cities in 100 countries, the GSER 2022 placed Silicon Valley, California, as No. 1, followed by New York, London, Boston, and Beijing.
