ICONS: An Exhibition about the Right to Exist
The KF Gallery is currently hosting ICONS: An Exhibition About the Right to Exist. The exhibition displays the dreams and hopes of 21 models with Down syndrome through photos depicting them as cultural, social, and artistic icons.
Each photograph shows a dream that anyone might have had once, and together, the photos present the universal hopes and desires of people wishing to become successful members of society. Co-organized by the photo museum and gallery Fotografiska in Stockholm and the Swedish theatrical organization Glada Hudik-teatern, the exhibition at the KF Gallery marks the first stop on its first-ever Asia tour. Under the theme “Challenge and Hardship,” photographer Emma Svensson, several fashion designers, and many others have joined hands to realize this exhibition.
ICONS will run until February 9 at the KF Gallery in Seoul. For more information, please visit the KF website: www.kf.or.kr.
