The Korea Foundation will invite H.H Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, on November 7–11, as part of the KF invitation program for distinguished guests. Sheikh Saud previously served as chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Municipal Council and deputy ruler of Ras Al Khaimah before succeeding his father as ruler in 2010. Since his years as deputy ruler, Sheikh Saud has led efforts to bolster the growth of Ras Al Khaimah through extensive economic, education, and healthcare reforms. His upcoming visit will be an opportunity to explore measures for bilateral cooperation with Korea, especially in the industrial and healthcare sectors.
  Sheikh Saud’s stay will include a visit with Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn and a tour of Seoul National University Hospital, which operates the Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah. Further, he will visit POSTEC, Hansung Science School to acquire greater insight into Korea’s fostering policy for science and engineering students.
