2017 Next-Generation Policy Experts Network
The Korea Foundation supports policy institutes in foreign countries in establishing a fertile environment for Korea-related policy research for the purpose of promoting the international community’s understanding of Korea and advocating Korea’s position on major issues. Through this program, the KF supports policy research and the expansion of a network of pro-Korea policy experts who share interests on Korea in order to enable timely responses to Korea-related issues in the international community.
Beginning with the United States and countries in Europe, the ASEAN region, and Oceania in 2015, the KF expanded the program to include Japan, China, and Russia in the following year. In July 2016, the KF Next-Generation Policy Experts Alumni Dialogue was held in Seoul to provide an opportunity for KF alumni to network with next-generation policy experts from other regions of the world.
The first event scheduled for 2017 is the ASEAN Next-Generation Policy Experts Network, which will be held in Bangkok on February 6, 2017, in partnership with the Institute of Security and International Studies in Thailand. Beginning with ASEAN Next-Generation Policy Experts Network in February of 2017, there will be programs for Europe in March, China in April, and Oceania in May.
