First Public Diplomacy Week: It’s time for Public Diplomacy!

The first Public Diplomacy Week will be held from November 1–3 at Seoul’s Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) with the aim of enhancing people’s awareness and understanding of public diplomacy.
  With the theme of “It’s time for Public Diplomacy,” the event will present the opportunity to review global public diplomacy trends and to discuss related issues among academics, media, business leaders, and practitioners. Public Diplomacy Week will also provide presentations on ongoing practices of public diplomacy carried out by diverse institutions in and outside of Korea, foreign diplomatic missions in the nation, and local administrations. Participating institutions and organizations will hold an introductory recruitment session for those who are interested in working in the field. Visitors will also be able to enjoy cultural events such as music performances and outdoor film screenings. The event is free and open to the public.
