Korea-Germany Forum

On October 24–26, the KF and the Koreanisch-Deutsche Gesellschaft (KDG) will hold the 17th Korea-Germany Forum in Daejeon to promote friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Launched in Seoul in 2002 to coincide with German President Johannes Rau’s visit to Korea, the forum has enabled exchange and communication between opinion leaders from political, economic, social, and cultural circles of the two countries over the past 17 years.
This year’s forum will feature free discussions over three key sessions on “Political, Economic, and Social Issues of Both Countries,” among other subjects, and four sub-sessions on topics including “Tasks for Bilateral Cooperation for Dual Vocational Training in the Era of Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
Alongside the forum, the seventh Korea-Germany Junior Forum will be held, hosted by the KF and the KDG and organized by Ewha Womans University. The Junior Forum will be attended by 50 college and graduate students who will exchange opinions on a range of subjects. The results of their discussion will be reported to the main forum, offering the students a rare chance to network with leading voices from the many fields featured at the event.
