‘The Greatest Party on Earth—Rio’s Carnival’ Exhibition

The KF and the Brazilian Embassy in Korea will jointly hold a photography exhibition in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Korea and Brazil. Titled The Greatest Party on Earth—Rio’s Carnival, the exhibition at the KF Gallery will run from June 20 through July 26. The Rio Carnival, known for being among the world’s most spectacular festivals, is held every year together with the Samba Schools’ Parade, a dazzling competition of Rio de Janeiro’s many samba schools. Omar Montenegro, who has been capturing Carnival on film for over a decade, conveys the excitement and beauty of the celebration in dynamic detail through a series of 22 photographs. A variety of events will accompany the exhibition, including a special lecture by television personality and Brazilian Embassy official Carlos Gorito. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
