2018 Korean Studies Workshop for Thai Educators at Prince of Songkla University

A Korean Studies Workshop sponsored by the KF will be held from September 19–21 at Thailand’s Prince of Songkla University—the latest in a series of workshops designed for non-Korean teachers at middle and high schools. Officially titled “2019 Korean Studies Workshop for Thai Educators at Prince of Songkla University,” the event aims to provide Thai teachers with an improved knowledge of Korean politics, history, culture, and educational practices. Educators will create teaching plans and join together to find new methods of sharing Korea with their classrooms.
The workshop was devised to offer Thai educators a wider look at Korea than the common perceptions offered by Hallyu, the Korean wave of popular culture. A broadened understanding of Korea prepares these teachers with accurate information and knowledge that they can pass on to their students.
The KF’s support for the Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators has been instrumental in expanding Korea-related education in the United States, Germany, Vietnam, and other countries around the world since 1992.
