Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Hosts Korean Film Screenings & Talks with Filmmakers

On October 1, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures (AMMP), which is based in the US, will start hosting screenings of Korean films and dialogues with Korean filmmakers with support from the KF.

From October 1 to 29, the AMMP will be presenting its fall cinematic program on Korean horror. Six films, including Park Chan-wook’s Thirst and Bong Joon-ho’s The Host, will be screened. Screenings will be accompanied by talks with filmmakers in response to growing global interest in Korean cinema. From March 2 to 31, a special program will be held that highlights Korean woman filmmakers.

The AMMP’s screenings are expected to introduce lesser-known Korean movies to global audiences, thereby enhancing their understanding of Korea and its cinematic art.
