Korean Passport Ranked World’s Second Most Powerful
According to the Henley Passport Index (HPI) released by Henley & Partners this July, the Korean passport is the world’s second most powerful in terms of the number of overseas destinations a holder can enter without a visa.
Korean passport holders enjoy visa-free access to 192 of 227 global travel destinations. The HPI is based on the number of destinations a passport holder can enter without need to apply for a visa beforehand.
Japan topped the index, followed by Korea and Singapore in a tie for second place. Germany and Spain were tied for third place with 190 destinations, while fourth place was shared by Finland, Italy, and Luxemburg with 189 destinations.
