From June 3 to 4, the KF's ASEAN Culture House in Busan will host the 2023 ASEAN Market, a two-day festival. Visitors will be able to experience and enjoy cultural activities, food, and crafts from the 10 ASEAN member states. As in previous years, the market will run from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The market will offer diverse, memorable programming. The Indonesia Special Booth, celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Korea, will feature a coffee bar operated by a famous Indonesian barista. It will also hold a traditional dance class, a dessert cooking class, and an Indonesian film screening. The dance class is expected to be especially popular among children as they will be encouraged to join the Indonesian performers on stage.
The market-type festival has been planned to comprehensively showcase ASEAN culture in and around the “street food zone,” with various cultural experiences. Here, ASEAN chefs will share their dishes, a food truck will serve ASEAN-Korean fusion cuisine, ASEAN craft masters will demonstrate their skills, and visitors will be able to shop at an ASEAN-style convenience store and various craft booths.
Save the first weekend of June for the ASEAN Market and come enjoy unique food, snacks, coffee, and shopping. For detailed information and to reserve spots in the cultural experience programs, please visit the ASEAN Culture House website (www.ach.or.kr).
