Intense Difference of Its Own Exhibition Celebrates Canada–Korea Amity

The 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Canada will be celebrated by a special exhibition titled Intense Difference of Its Own, made possible through the joint efforts of the KF, the Canadian Embassy in Korea, and the National accessArts Centre (NaAC), Canada. Opening on June 19 at the KF Gallery in Seoul, the commemorative exhibition will run through August 18.

Shedding light on artworks by people with disabilities from each of the two countries, the exhibition also aims to promote discourse on bilateral cultural diplomacy and ways of practicing it, as well as confirm common interests and value orientation. It will feature drawings, paintings, videos, and other works conveying various perspectives, produced through cooperation with several independent studios and 20 artists, including Michelle Bennie, Brian Ehnis, Carol Harris, and Pixel Kim. Believing that artistic creation is driven by individuals’ different ways of sensing and perceiving the world, the exhibition aims to highlight each artist’s individuality and unique aesthetics.

Admission to the exhibition will be free. For more information, please visit the KF website (www.kf.or.kr).
