3D Sculpting Workshop Held Alongside KF XR Gallery Inaugural Show

The KF XR Gallery, the KF’s digital public diplomacy experience center, is currently holding its inaugural exhibition Pale Blue Dot. For the month of September, a three-dimensional (3D) sculpting workshop will be held alongside the exhibition.

Pale Blue Dot, which will continue to run until October 27, calls for discussions on the universally important issue of the environment through a variety of immersive content. The 3D sculpting workshop will follow similar themes such as the planet Earth, the environment, and endangered species. Through the use of virtual reality (VR) equipment and 3D sculpting programs, participants are to create polar bears and other objects that convey diverse messages related to the environment.

Jointly hosted by new media artist Jihyun Jung and graduate students of the Korea National University of Arts, the workshop will help those unfamiliar with VR equipment to easily imagine and create their own VR sculptures. The 3D-sculpted VR works will be accessible later in the form of a metaverse exhibition.

Everyone is welcome to the workshop with prior reservation. For detailed information, please visit the KF website (www.kf.or.kr).

Venue: KF XR Gallery, Mirae Asset Center 1 (1F), 26 Euljiro 5-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
