KF Invites 13 Parliamentary Leaders from 12 Countries

From March 24 to 30, 13 parliamentary leaders from 12 countries will visit Korea through the KF’s Invitation Program for Distinguished Figures. The program is designed to provide opportunities for discussions on a broad range of Korea-related topics and foster people-to-people exchanges and network building.

Invited guests include Marcela Passo, a member of the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of Argentina’s National Congress; Scott Farlow, a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council, the upper house of the Australian state’s parliament; Senator Nicole Okala Bilaï from Cameroon; Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss Shollei of Kenya’s National Assembly; Senator Imee Marcos from the Philippines; Paetongtarn Shinawatra, leader of the Pheu Thai Party of Thailand; and Jacey Jetton, a member of the Texas House of Representatives in the US.

While in Korea, the guests will visit major political, financial, and administrative institutions as well as famous tourist attractions. The KF’s invitation program aims to provide political leaders with the opportunity to learn about a variety of Korea-related subjects, including the country’s parliamentary democracy and party politics.

Last April, parliamentary leaders visited the Seoul Metropolitan Council as part of the KF’s 2023 Invitation Program for Distinguished Figures.
