The KF is holding a special exhibition entitled Celebrating the Beauty of Marriage at the KF Gallery from February 7 to March 22. The exhibit showcases the different marriage cultures of the ten ASEAN members, providing visitors with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the anthropological peculiarities of each country, as embodied in the institution of marriage. Against the backdrop of our increasingly globalized world, characterized by its dynamic cross-cultural interplay, the show will not only highlight the distinct marriage customs across the region, but also present a rich cultural tapestry filled with the kaleidoscopic palette of ASEAN life.
  Marriage is a subject that calls for a new set of coordinates to enable historical and cultural study, examining both the intersecting narratives and universal trends that transcend national borders, while incorporating the unique qualities of the region’s disparate folk cultures and rituals. Given our current lack of defined coordinates, the exhibition will serve as a crucial starting point for combining the eclectic features of the various marriage cultures of the ASEAN members into a harmonious union, befitting of the exhibition’s matrimonial theme.
