The Education and Publicity Team conducted a general workshop for the KFVN on July 14, getting together with the World Activity Class and Korean Culture Class. The three teams reviewed each of their activities from the first half of the year and honored outstanding teammates with citations. Then they attended a class on emergency response, learning skills crucial for the safe operation of their programs, especially considering the KFVN’s frequent work with children and youths. The team members learned how to evacuate from disaster-stricken areas, what to do in times of emergency, and practiced CPR. The participants said the workshop taught them many useful skills, and they felt confident they were now better placed to ensure that future events were as safe as they were fun.
