The first event of the KF Gallery Open Stage series in 2014 is a special storytelling performance in May, which is the "Month of Family" in Korea. Michael Kusugak, a children's book writer and storyteller from the Inuit community of Nunavut, of the northern region of Canada, and his wife, Gerry Pflueger, share handed-down stories of Inuit and Arctic culture and lifestyle with the audience. People will also have a chance to learn about the lifestyle of the Arctic people by viewing and handlng various everyday abjects of the Inuit people, which will be on display.
There will also be a brief performance by Soy, a versatile artist who plays a variety of roles such as singer and songwriter of an acoustical group, "Raspberry Field," as well as actress and MC. In addition, a short animation feature, "Owl and the Raven: An Eskimo Legend," will also be shown.
