안녕하세요.
스웨덴 Sipri에 파견 중인 이재연입니다. 8월은 많은 사람들이 휴가를 끝내고 돌아오는 시기라 연구소가 좀 더 북적거리기 시작했습니다. 8월 중순부터는 여름 휴가로 잠시 중단되었던 월요일 오전 미팅이 다시 시작되었습니다. 여성의 정치참여와 그의 영향의 측정 관련된 연구는 계속 되고 있고 이와 관련된 지원 업무와 최종 보고서 준비가 저의 업무입니다.

- 스톡홀름 대학교의 세미나 참여 (모든 세션에 참여하지는 않았고 관심있는 두 세션에 참여)
1) Self-employment and social enterprise: the presenter had lack of understanding of why Korea has high percentage of self-employment.
2) Gender quota and female legislators: it was very similar study what we are doing now. But this study is more focused on empirical cases in East Asia region not world-wide. Percentage of female legislators is slowly increasing in Korea, and the presenter believes that the quota system is the strongest driving factor. However, the level of increasing of female representation seemed very mere over last 30 years, expected stronger result of quota system in Korea.
