Artist Talk for Runway Singapore #SGFASHIONNOW

An artist talk program was held on August 18 in connection with the “Runway Singapore #SGFASHIONNOW” exhibition co-organized by the KF ASEAN Culture House and Singapore’s Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM).

The panelists for the program were Youn Cho-rong, Professor, Department of Clothing and Textiles, Pusan National University; Kennie Ting, Director, Asian Civilisations Museum; Lionel Wong, Designer, Baëlf Design; Elyn Wong, Designer, Stolen; and Seo Na-young and Jeong Jae-won, Students, Department of Clothing and Textiles, Pusan National University. Students majoring in fashion design, clothing and textiles in Busan area attended the Artist Talk as audience.

ACM Director Kennie Ting introduced the exhibition series #SGFASHIONNOW as a cooperative project between museums and universities, while the two designers from Singapore talked about the influence of Singapore’s culture on fashion design and presented relevant design works. In addition, the two Pusan National University students showcased their works inspired by traditional Korean culture. Finally, an exhibition tour was arranged under the guidance of ACM Curator Dominic Low.
