The Korea Foundation Cultural Center introduces diverse daily lives and creative life styles around the world through exhibitions on various design and architecture every year. As part of its special exhibition series of 2013, the Center opened an exhibition to show the architecture and design of the Netherlands under the title of New Messages from the Netherlands: Recent Dutch Architecture and Design. The opening ceremony of the exhibition began with Korea Foundation President Yu Hyun-seok’s welcoming remarks, followed by congratulatory remarks by Marjo Crompvoets, Deputy Head of Mission, Netherlands Embassy in Seoul. Many distinguished guests from diplomatic, architectural and design sectors also attended the ceremony, gracing the occasion with their presence.

Section RE:USE features 12 architectural works, focusing on the recent ten years of Dutch architecture on the theme of re-use, while Section RE:MIND showcases 12 design works on the theme of human beings by the recent graduates of the Design Academy Eindhoven. In addition, the Yonhap News Media Lab Team presents a work of infographics, comparing the life in the Netherlands and Korea. Section RE:NEW enables visitors to arrange various postcards on display, and Section RE:MARK shows the diversity of Dutch architecture and design through Dutch architecture yearbooks and design books recommended by designers.
