2014 Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators
The Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators provides secondary-school teachers and education administrators from abroad with the opportunity to acquire a variety of practical information, knowledge, and firsthand experiences of Korea. The Korea Foundation offers program support to relevant universities and institutions that are willing to host a Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators in 2014.
◈ Eligible Applicants
Universities and institutions that maintain a Korean Studies Department or Korean-related education program
International exchange/cooperation institutions related to Korean Studies
※Universities and institutions in Korea are not eligible to receive assistance from this program, except for those that enter
into acooperative agreement with a program institution from abroad in regard to a visit/tour of Korea.
◈ Program Participants (Secondary-school level)
- Regular teachers (emphasis on History and Social Studies)
- Education administrators
- Textbook publishers
※The Korea Foundation’s program guidelines call for at least 30 Workshop participants, and equal to a 70% share of the
total participants, to be History and Social Studies teachers at secondary schools.
